If you live in a metro area, there will be somewhere where they sell organic foods. Variety is usually sparse but for your health’s sake buy what is available because you reduce the amount of chemicals in your body and it encourages growers to supply more organic produce. If you are in a rural area, don’t dispair because there will be farmers in your area that don’t use chemicals but don’t advertise themselves as organic farmers. Sometimes they spray some crops and not others and will tell you. Fruit stands with often know information about their suppliers. With food prices rising, it is important to buy quality and get good prices too. Organic bananas in my town are no more expensive than regular but last up to 3 or 4 times longer. Regular bananas are “gassed” to make the get ripe enough to ship but not too ripe, and they don’t last very long and turn black quicker.
However, sometimes you have to buy regular so you may have to choose only certain foods. The www.thedailygreen.com suggests not buying 12 foods unless they are organic because of the amount of chemicals in them: Celery, Peaches, Strawberries, Apples, Blueberries, Nectarines, Kale, Cherries, Bell Peppers, Spinach, Potatoes, Grapes. They have soft coverings or are heavily sprayed. If you have to buy regular, substitute with kiwi, raspberries, watermelon, tangerines, oranges, and grapefruit, bananas, and cranberries, mangoes. Other “safer” vegetables are broccoli, radishes, onions, cabbage, Asparagus, eggplant, “earthy” mushrooms, sweet corn, and peas.
If you have children or drink milk, I like the Organic Valley milk because they claim the cows have pasture. Coffee is best organic because it is grown in exotic, unregulated areas and destroys the rain forests. Organic chickens melt in your mouth and worth a drive to buy several and freeze or order on the internet. Organic beef is better for you but may not be as tender or “fatty” as they aren’t given hormones, so buy it if you can find it. I hope you have luck finding your organic food.

Just What is a Higher Power?
While you won’t get agreement on a specific name, generally the term for higher power is specific to religious groups and geographic locations. Father/Mother/God, a general term is favored by “spiritual groups”. Specific religions use: The Christ, Buddha, Krisna, Great Spirit,and Yah-weh are words for God, who is a divine entity that has tremendous power over humans and nature and is seen as the ruler or creator of the universe. Lesser ranked but divine entities come from the angelic kingdom, the spirit world (not earth bound ghosts) but guardians like the planetary and star entities, nature entities, and benevolent teachers and helpers that can transform into human form when needed on the earth plane, but reside without physical bodies in spirit or angelic form on higher planes.
